Meet the LISD-East/Metrocrest Team!
My name is Christina Wade and I’m the co-cat wrangler, I mean co-chapter leader for Lovepacs LISD-East. I have been hanging around Lovepacs (like a stray dog they keep feeding so I’ll keep coming back) since 2011 when my friend Katie Hobbs texted me to say her Life group was starting this little ‘thing’ if I was interesting in helping out (Katie knows a sucker when she sees one). Eventually, Katie moved to Frisco, started that chapter of Lovepacs and I continued to volunteer for co-founder Tricia Snyder until she stepped down in 2017. Katie again reached out to me asking if I’d be interested in leading the LISD-East chapter (huh, I just put this together; fool me once shame on you, fool me twice…sneaky, sneaky Katie Hobbs). Anywho…I’ve been happily creating chaos co-leading this chapter since the 2017-2018 school year with my good friend Michelle Doss.
In my spare time, I’m a systems administrator for a pharmaceutical company. I’m married with two teenagers and we are all avid sports fans. My husband and son incorrectly think football is the greatest sport, but they are balanced by my daughter and I who know hockey is better. I love to read when I get downtime (so basically from 12:37 am to 1:43 am).
For those of you who actually took the time to read this, nice to meet you and thank you for stopping by!
Community Outreach Coordinator
Hi All! My name is Kristi Rush and I am the Community Outreach Coordinator for Lovepacs LISD-East! I attend most of the Chamber of Commerce breakfasts and lunches' monthly in hopes of partnering with businesses to help provide for kids in need. I also help run packs at the pantry and try to get with my fearless chaos co-leaders Christina and Michelle as often as possible to make sure we have everything covered that is needed.
In my non Lovepacs time I am a Sr. Project Manager for a health care company, a wife of 16 years to Andrew Rush and mom to 3 kids (Twins 11yo and son 8yo). We spend most weekends at baseball, volleyball or up at the pantry helping packs. We also love sports and go to as many Stars hockey games as possible, as well as Cheering on the Atlanta Braves and Texas Tech Red Raiders from home! I love to read when I have time and shop (which my daughter also loves) so you can regularly find me at Scheels or Target!
Thanks for hanging out with me for a minute and I hope to see you at the Pantry soon!
Moved from Kansas to Texas in 2014, along with wife, son, and twin daughters. Kids have all had a great time in Lewisville ISD. I work full time at Bell (formerly Bell Helicopter) in Ft. Worth as the Global Military Sales Operations Manager.
Hobbies include biking, skiing, reading, and being outdoors. Enjoy going to local sports (Rangers, Mavericks, Stars, Cowboys) and still do my best to support my Kansas State U Wildcats teams when they play in this part of the country.
